Dayspring Children Centre

Project Description

42 girls, ages 4-12, were rescued within a period of two months off the streets near Matayos, Kenya, by Harvest of Hope Africa. In September of 2018, we managed to provide these 42 girls, which are mostly HIV positive, with a shelter and care-taking, Alison and Joey Berry came alongside to lead financial support for the continual livelihood of these girls. The shelter was named Dayspring Children Centre, meaning “the rising sun,” referencing the verse in Malachi 4:2: “But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall arise with healing in its wings…” (ESV).
Our hope is that God would rise like the sun to bring light to all in this home.”
